About
Welcome to these sensitive worlds.
Photography has been with me since I was 12, when I took pictures with my Minolta and printed them myself. I have hardly ever put a lens down since.
The notion of the infinite and the infinitely small, of time and eternity, is one of my obsessions. Water and plants are never far, even in the city.
Human beings seem to be in osmosis, or in search of osmosis, with the world around them. Solitude is everywhere, I am told. A solitude I see and feel as sought, not imposed. A solitude that also speaks of a certain freedom of being.
I love giving birth to a new encounter from a single photograph.
I rework it from different angles, lights and textures, also exploring mixed media.
Paint and acrylic pigments, matte or glossy depending on the work, let me play with reality and create effects of relief, light and texture, together with the beauty of the art papers I use.
My photographs begin with real scenes. I sometimes change their composition, removing certain elements or certain people, to reach what moves me and what I want to tell, bring to life and make felt.
Every person you see was truly there, heart beating.
There is no collage and no drone shot, even if appearances can sometimes be deceiving.
Thank you to everyone who has already chosen one of these sensitive worlds to live with, or to give as a gift.
